We are finally finished with homeschool year 3 and ready to enjoy a long summer full of fun! Have your kiddos finished school for the year? What kind of activities do you have planned for the summer months? We have plans to soak up every moment and spend a lot of time outside. Speaking of being outside, I wanted to share how I pack my summer adventure bag for my kids. If you're running around town splashing at splash pads or checking out the local scenery, you need a summer adventure bag. This is an easy way to make sure you're prepared for any planned or spontaneous adventures you happen upon.
Without further ado, here is how to pack a summer adventure bag for your kids!
Here is what I pack in our summer adventure bag and a few photos for all of you visual learners like me out there! Additionally, I purchase new summer items at the beginning of summer (if we need them) and make sure they are used all summer long. This year I realized both of my kids outgrew their swimsuits and that their beach towels were in shreds (literally) so we needed new summer items. I also buy my kids a pair of $10 plastic summer shoes for the splash pad, pool, etc. They are so cheap to replace AND can be easily rinsed off. I toss everything in this $12 tote bag from Target that has a detachable cooler and off we go!
Swimsuits
Extra change of clothes and undergarments
Sunscreen for kids and adults
Bandaids (Welly is my favorite brand)
Snacks
Deodorant (for those steamy hot days)
Baby wipes
Sunglasses
Water shoes
Water bottles
These items ensure we are ready for whatever adventures await us this summer! You can watch a video where I pack my bag here. I'd love to know about your summer plans below!
